Southern Snow

There is snow in Southeast Alabama! Yep, I am telling you the truth. I wouldn't yank your chain like that! It is the end of November and we have some southern snow! Take a look!

Southern Snow!

Okay......it is a cotton field but, it is about as close as we get to snow down here. Now admit it.......it does look sorta like snow......doesn't it?

There are several bolls of cotton on each plant.....

This is a an open boll of cotton and the black thing beside it is a closed boll....

We have so many fields of cotton around here, I think sometimes we get used to them and forget to stop and look at how pretty they are. We may not get snow around here like our Northern neighbors do but, I think our fields of cotton are just as breathtaking!

It is SO pretty! There is one field on Shellfield rd here in Eprise that I LOVE driving past. It is SO white. I'm sure I've missed my chance to take a picture though. Everytime I finally have my camera with me its gone!sush

You're right. The cotton fields are beautiful and we do often just drive right on past them without even thinking.
People come here from other places and they always so how beautiful and green our state is. I think we are so used to it that we forget how beautiful it is until we go somewhere else

For a minute I got excited because I thought there was actual snow in Alabama! Haha. But cotton is just as pretty.
